A Fifthwheel low loader is a type of semi-trailer in which the floor of the trailer or semi-trailer is built very low to the ground.
If it is a low loader with a drawbar trailer, there is often a higher section above the turntable at the front of the trailer.
With a semi-trailer, the section of the trailer that is above the rear axle of the towing vehicle is also higher.
This higher section can then be used, for example, to make a container or to support the container of the machine.
A low loader is often used for transporting heavier machines because the approach angle is lower, but the centre of gravity of the load is also lower during transport.
There are low loaders that go behind trucks, which are then used for very heavy transports, but machines up to approximately 3.5 to 4 tonnes can also be transported with a BE combination up to 7 tonnes.
Think of the machines that earthmoving companies work with or, for example, gardeners or construction companies.
